Job Title: Data Analyst (Power BI & Azure Databricks)

Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Data Analyst specialized in Business Intelligence tools (preferable Power BI) and Azure Databricks. The ideal candidate will play a key role in data quality monitoring, data analysis, dashboard creation and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

• Data Visualization: Create visually appealing and interactive dashboards (e.g. Power BI) that provide actionable insights.
• Dashboard Maintenance: Maintain and continuously enhance existing dashboards that incorporate business and platform metrics.
• Data Integration: Utilize Azure Databricks for data integration, transformation, and analysis to support business and platform needs.
• Data Analysis: Collect, analyze and interpret data to support business decisions and identify trends, patterns, anomalies and insights.
• Data Quality Monitoring: Perform thorough monitoring of data to ensure data completeness, accuracy and integrity. Track data pipelines to identify data quality issues and downstream impacts.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data engineers, data scientists, business analysts, and IT to ensure data accuracy and availability.
• Documentation: Document processes, methodologies, and dashboard functionalities for future reference and knowledge sharing.
  
  

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Technical Skills:
• Experience with Azure Databricks for statistical analysis, reporting, data integration and analysis.
• Proficiency in Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, and data visualization techniques.
• Familiarity with Tableau and the ability to understand and translate Tableau functionalities into Power BI is a plus
• Experience visualizing dashboards though web applications is a plus
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing issues and challenges.
• Experience: 3-5 years of experience in data analysis or a related field.
• Work schedule: Overlapping working hours with US teams is required, to support real time collaboration and productivity.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SQL and data querying
• Hands-on experience with Databricks concepts
• Knowledge of Python or R for data analysis
• Understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes
• Experience with data visualization tools and techniques
• Familiarity with frontend application development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
