Senior Curriculum Developer -Math

We are looking for a Senior Curriculum Designer - Mathematics who can design rigorous, engaging, and age-appropriate mathematics learning experiences for school students.

As a Senior Curriculum Designer - Mathematics, you will own the design and development of mathematics curriculum and lesson content across relevant grade levels.

This is not just a content-writing role. You will think deeply about what students should learn, in what sequence, how concepts should be introduced, what examples and activities make them intuitive, how students should practice, and how learning should be assessed.

You will work closely with teachers, academic leaders, product, and operations teams to continuously improve curriculum quality and student learning outcomes.

• Design end-to-end mathematics curriculum across relevant grades, including learning objectives, scope and sequence, lesson structure, practice, and assessments.
• Create high-quality lesson plans, teacher guides, student-facing content, worksheets, activities, assignments, quizzes, and assessments.
• Break complex mathematical concepts into simple, intuitive, and age-appropriate learning experiences.
• Design lessons that build conceptual understanding, problem-solving ability, mathematical reasoning, and confidence rather than relying only on rote learning.
• Ensure logical progression of concepts across lessons, modules, and grade levels.
• Create real-world problems, visual explanations, puzzles, and interactive activities that make mathematics engaging.
• Define clear learning outcomes and assessment criteria for each lesson and module.
• Review student performance data, teacher feedback, and classroom observations to identify gaps and improve curriculum.
• Continuously improve existing curriculum based on learning outcomes, student engagement, and teacher effectiveness.
• Work closely with teachers to understand classroom challenges and ensure content is practical to deliver.
• Create and improve teacher instructions, teaching notes, worked examples, common-mistake guidance, and remediation strategies.
• Benchmark curriculum against strong national and international standards and learning frameworks.
• Maintain consistency and quality across curriculum content created by other curriculum team members or freelancers.
• Participate in curriculum reviews, pilots, and new-course launches.
• Explore how AI and technology can improve curriculum creation, personalization, practice, and assessment.
  

• Strong academic foundation in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, Engineering, Science, or a related quantitative field.
• 4+ years of experience in mathematics curriculum design, curriculum development, teaching, instructional design, educational publishing, EdTech, or a related field.
• Excellent command over school-level mathematics and strong conceptual clarity.
• Strong understanding of how mathematical concepts should progress across different age groups.
• Ability to explain difficult concepts in a simple, structured, and engaging manner.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Experience creating lesson plans, assessments, worksheets, or other structured learning content.
• Strong written communication and attention to detail.
• Ability to independently own curriculum projects from idea to execution.
• Comfort working in a fast-moving environment where curriculum is continuously tested and improved.
  

• Experience teaching mathematics to school students.
• Experience with international curricula such as Common Core, Cambridge, IB, Singapore Math, or similar frameworks.
• Experience designing mathematics content for online learning.
• Experience using learning data to improve curriculum.
• Familiarity with digital learning tools, LMS platforms, or AI-assisted content creation.
• Experience managing or reviewing content created by other curriculum developers.
