Role Overview

RTC is looking for a highly skilled Senior Wet Utilities CAD Specialist to join our Civil Infrastructure team in Hyderabad.

The ideal candidate should have 5–10 years of relevant experience in preparing, reviewing and coordinating detailed CAD drawings and models for wet utilities networks, particularly for large-scale infrastructure, road and land development projects.

The candidate should have strong technical expertise in potable water, sewerage, stormwater, irrigation and firefighting networks, with MENA/GCC project experience preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, develop and update detailed CAD drawings for wet utilities networks, including potable water, sewerage, stormwater, irrigation and firefighting systems.
• Produce utility layouts, plans, longitudinal profiles, cross-sections and standard engineering details.
• Review drawings for technical accuracy, consistency and compliance with project specifications and CAD standards.
• Coordinate wet utilities layouts with road, highway, dry utilities and other infrastructure design disciplines.
• Incorporate engineering design changes and maintain updated drawing packages throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate with engineers and multidisciplinary teams to resolve design and drafting-related issues.
• Work with authority-specific tools and platforms to support design coordination and approval submissions.
• Maintain proper drawing documentation, CAD files and project deliverables.
• Support and guide junior CAD technicians wherever required.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a relevant technical discipline.
• 5–10 years of relevant experience in Wet Utilities CAD Design.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD. Knowledge of Civil 3D will be an added advantage.
• Good understanding of potable water, sewerage, stormwater, irrigation and firefighting networks.
• Ability to independently prepare detailed utility layouts, plans, profiles, cross-sections and standard details.
• Experience working on large-scale infrastructure, road and land development projects.
• Familiarity with GIS platforms and utility mapping workflows will be highly advantageous.
• Practical experience with authority-related tools and approval platforms, particularly DEWA tools and UCDM cross-section tools.
• Ability to interpret engineering design drawings and coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to review, manage and maintain drawing quality and CAD standards.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience working on MENA/GCC infrastructure projects, particularly UAE projects.
• Familiarity with UAE utility authority requirements, standards and submission procedures.
• Experience working with international engineering consultancies.
