- Oversee and manage all operational activities including transaction processing, account management, reconciliations, and customer service operations.
- Ensure efficient and compliant delivery of banking services in line with regulatory standards and internal policies.
- Supervise, train, and mentor operational staff to ensure optimal performance and professional development.
- Identify and implement process improvements, including digitization and automation.
- Liaise with departments such as Risk, Compliance, and IT to ensure operational alignment and seamless customer service.
- Act as a Level 3 (Super Checker) for financial and critical transactions and service requests.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for the managed area.
- Act as an individual contributor for specialized activities and digital initiatives.
- Ensure compliance and resolve complex queries.
- Coordinate with Product, Compliance, and other bank stakeholders.
- Act as the first-level escalation point for sub-unit issues.
- Manage specialized activities such as testing and transaction monitoring.
Education
- Graduation: Graduate in any discipline from a recognized institution.
- Post-graduation: Postgraduate in any discipline from a recognized institution.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in banking operations, preferably in liability operations or customer service functions.
- Strong understanding of banking operations and compliance frameworks.
- Proven experience in managing complex processes and digital initiatives.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead and mentor teams effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in process enhancement and automation.
- Ability to manage escalations and ensure service excellence.
- Customer-first mindset aligned with IDFC First’s service standards.
