Market Development Officer
Roles and Responsibility
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Market Development Officer to drive growth within the education industry. The ideal candidate will be passionate
about education, possess a deep understanding of the K-12 and higher education
landscapes, and have a proven track record of identifying and securing new business
opportunities. This role will be instrumental in expanding our market presence, building
strong relationships with key stakeholders, and contributing to the overall success of our
mission.
Key Responsibilities
● Identify and research potential clients within the education sector (e.g., schools,
educational institutions including private coaching , government bodies).
● Develop new business opportunities by liaisoning with school administration,
tuition teachers and coaching centres
● Develop and execute strategic outreach plans including ground activations through
workshops and seminars in schools, participation in promotional events in
residential societies etc to generate new leads and foster relationships with
decision-makers.
● Participate in / Organize conferences, workshops, and networking events to build
brand awareness and generate leads.
● Present and demonstrate our educational products to prospective clients,
effectively articulating their value proposition.
● Establish and maintain relationships with the other teams of Allen
● Ensure all leads generated are of High Quality & uploaded timely in the system for
further management
● Maintain an up-to-date understanding of industry trends, competitor activities, and
educational policy changes.
● Achieve and exceed assigned targets and key performance indicators.
● Provide regular reports on activities, pipeline status, and market feedback to
management.
● Ensure adherence to internal processes and compliances.
Qualifications
● Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Science or a related field.
● 2 + years of proven experience in business development or sales, specifically
within the education industry.
● Demonstrated success in achieving and exceeding sales targets.
● Strong understanding of the education landscape, including current trends,
challenges, and purchasing cycles.
● Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
● Ability to build rapport and establish trust with diverse stakeholders.
● Strong negotiation and closing skills.
● Understanding of CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite.
● Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently as well as part of a
team.
● Willingness to travel extensively
● Language Known : English , Hindi , Regional Language (Kannada)
Preferred Qualifications
● Master's degree in a relevant field.
● Experience with EdTech products or solutions.
● Existing network of contacts within the education sector.
