Role Description

We are looking for a Robotics Software Engineer to join our core engineering team at Nawe Robotics. This role is focused on building and maintaining SDKs and tools that power our plug-and-play robotics components ecosystem.

This is a hands-on core role, where you will work closely with foundational software systems. We value strong programming fundamentals, system-level thinking, and the ability to learn and adapt across languages and technologies rather than expertise in any single stack.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain SDKs and tools for robotics applications
• Contribute to core software architecture and system design
• Work on interfaces for our plug and play components.
• Collaborate with firmware and hardware teams for seamless integration
• Write clean, modular, and well-documented code
• Debug, test, and improve performance of existing systems
• Continuously improve developer tooling and usability

Required Skills & Qualifications

• B.Tech degree
• Good programming skills in C/C++ and Python
• Strong understanding of core programming concepts and problem-solving
• Basic familiarity with robotics frameworks such as ROS1/ROS2
• Ability to quickly learn new tools, languages, and systems
• Understanding of software design principles (modularity, abstraction, etc.)

Good to Have

• Exposure to UI development tools.
• Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Interest or experience in robotics, embedded systems, or hardware interfacing
• Participation in College Level Robotics Competitions such as ROBOCON, SAE BAJA..etc
