IIIT Ranchi, Jharkhand, India invites application for Visiting Professor Position from eligible and interested candidates

About- Indian Institute of Information Technology Ranchi is an autonomous institute setup by the MHRD, Government of India, and Government of Jharkhand along with the industry partners Tata Technologies, TCS and CCL on a Public Private Partnership.

Research/Job Area-

REQUIRED AREA OF SPECIALIZATIONS ARE AS FOLLOWS: –

• Electronics and Communication Engineering
• Computer Science and Engineering
• Mining, Petroleum, Steel and Software Industry in Information and Communication Technology.
• Mathematics:
• Management : Experience to teach Ethics and Human Values, Management Concepts and Organizational Behavior, Entrepreneurship Development, Professional Communication Skills, Foreign Language, etc.,

Eligibility/Qualification–

Essential Qualifications & Experience

The person should have Ph.D. with first class at the preceding degree or equivalent with very good academic record throughout with minimum 15 years teaching and research and/or industrial experience of which at least 4 years should be at the level of Professor in IITs, IISc Bangalore, IISERs and NITs or at an equivalent level in any such other Indian or foreign institution / institutions of comparable standards.

OR

A person having more than 15 years of industrial experience with minimum post graduate degree with commendable experience in research and development aspects in relevant areas.

Job/Position Description-

The terms and conditions are as follows;

• The post will carry a consolidated honorarium of ₹ 100000/- (one lakh) per month.
• The Visiting professor should be actively engaged in teaching and research in his/her tenure.
• The Visiting Professor will be required to share Administrative work if assigned by the competent authority.
• The Visiting Professor will be required to undertake normal academic load.
• The Visiting Professor will be expected to participate in sponsored research and consultancy activities in association with regular faculty members of the Institute.

• Applications (both soft copy and hard copy) received up to January 31st, 2024 will be processed for this round. Applications received after the due date will not be considered in this round and IIIT Ranchi will not be responsible for any delay.
• The duly completed application form along with self-attested copies of relevant testimonials, certificates, enclosures, fee transaction slip and other supporting documents are required to be sent by email and speed post.
• Scanned Copy of filled-in prescribed application form with supporting documents in single PDF file may be sent to Email: [email protected]. The subject of the email should be super scribed as “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF VISITING PROFESSOR”. Candidate should send the Hard Copy of filled-in prescribed application form with supporting documents by Speed Post to the Registrar, Indian Institute of Information Technology Ranchi, Science and Technology Campus, Sirkha Toli, Namkum, Ranchi- 834010, India. The envelope containing the application should be super scribed as “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF VISITING PROFESSOR”.
