Responsibilities

• Design versioned REST/GraphQL APIs with clear contracts, idempotency, pagination, validation, and backward-compatible evolution.
• Model relational and document data for real workflows, including migrations, constraints, indexes, audit trails, and retention rules.
• Build secure authentication, authorization, webhook, queue, and third-party integration flows with graceful failure handling.
• Own service reliability through structured logging, metrics, tracing, alerting, load testing, and incident follow-through.
• Optimise slow queries, N+1 access patterns, cache invalidation, background jobs, and high-volume data paths.
• Set backend engineering standards through code review, threat modelling, API documentation, and test strategy.
  
  

Requirements

• 3+ years building production backends in Node.js, Python, Go, Java, or a comparable server-side stack.
• Strong SQL fundamentals, schema design, transaction boundaries, indexing, migrations, and data consistency trade-offs.
• Hands-on experience with auth, RBAC, queues, caching, webhooks, rate limiting, and third-party API failure modes.
• Ability to write meaningful unit, integration, contract, and regression tests around business-critical behaviour.
• Security-first thinking across secrets, input validation, OWASP risks, data privacy, observability, and operational readiness.
  
  

Eligibility

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• A portfolio or projects demonstrating real backend work.
• Available to work on-site in Vadodara, full-time.

Compensation

Compensation for this role: ₹9–16 LPA, based on skills and experience.
