About Woodside Global Solutions
Woodside Global Solutions in Bengaluru is being built as a hub of excellence, to drive innovation and global collaboration. We are looking for talented professionals who are eager to make a global impact, helping to shape the future of Woodside together.
The Operations Support function provides services to our operational assets, including onshore gas plants, offshore gas platforms, offshore FPSOs and other functions and groups such as Projects. While we provide services, organisationally we are a part of Operations which is the production business unit.
About the role
Reporting to the Operations Support Manager – Global Solutions, the Cost Administrator – WIL is responsible for the day‑to‑day execution of cost administration and financial support activities for warehousing, inventory and logistics operations within the Global Solutions framework.
The role supports accurate, timely, and compliant processing of logistics‑related costs, invoices and financial data in accordance with approved processes, systems and decision boundaries. The position operates in a rule‑based, execution capacity, providing cost visibility and transactional accuracy while identifying and routing exceptions to Finance, Contract Owners or Global Excellence as required.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Execute day‑to‑day cost administration activities supporting the WIL function.
- Process and validate related invoices, charges and cost allocations in accordance with approved procedures and contractual terms.
- Ensure costs are coded accurately to the correct cost centers, work orders or activities within defined system rules.
- Support timely month‑end activities by ensuring transactional completeness and accuracy within agreed cut‑off periods.
- Apply approved financial controls, delegation limits and segregation of duties in the execution of cost administration activities.
- Verify supporting documentation for charges and escalate discrepancies, errors or non‑compliant items outside defined role authority.
- Maintain accurate records and audit trails to support internal and external audit requirements.
- Liaise with Warehousing, Inventory, Logistics, Procurement and Finance teams to resolve cost queries and support smooth processing outcomes.
- Engage with logistics service providers and transport contractors to clarify billing details and supporting documentation, within defined scope.
- Act as a point of contact for routine cost and invoice queries related to WIL activities.
- Maintain accurate and timely cost data within financial and operational systems.
- Support preparation of routine cost reports, reconciliations and summaries for operational and finance stakeholders.
- Identify data quality issues impacting cost accuracy and escalate systemic issues for resolution.
Skills & Experience:
- Experience in cost administration, finance support or transactional accounting roles, preferably in logistics or operational environments.
- Working knowledge of financial systems (e.g. SAP) and cost coding structures.
- Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Ability to operate within defined processes, controls and decision boundaries.
- Good stakeholder communication skills and ability to resolve routine queries.
- Understanding of warehousing, inventory or logistics cost drivers (desirable).
- Qualification in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or equivalent experience (desirable).
