KEY PURPOSE

The Assistant Manager - CC Retrofit Execution is responsible for supporting the successful planning, execution, and delivery of retrofit projects. This role works closely with the Manager and cross-functional teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards, while maintaining a focus on customer satisfaction, safety, and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

• Achieving the turnover targets for retrofit projects as per the Annual Business Plan (ABP), ensuring alignment with business growth objectives.
• Executing strategies to control costs and improving project profitability by implementing best practices and process optimizations.
• Collaborating with the Manager to ensure that all projects are booked and executed at the desired margins, contributing to the overall financial success of the department.
• Ensuring proper project planning, including material delivery, resource allocation, and scheduling, to meet customer requirements and timelines.
• Overseeing day-to-day operations at job sites, ensuring projects are executed with a “first-time right” approach to avoid rework, reduce costs, and ensure timely handover.
• Coordinating with internal teams (Design, Planning, and Finance) to facilitate smooth execution and resolve any project-related issues that may arise.
• Actively contributing to achieving the targeted Customer Satisfaction Survey (CSS) score by addressing customer concerns promptly.
• Collecting customer feedback at the end of each project, identifying areas for improvement, and securing referral letters to enhance the company’s reputation and generate repeat business.
• Ensuring zero safety incidents across all job sites by strictly enforcing adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), conducting Hazard Identification and Risk Assessments (HIRA), Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), and toolbox meetings.
• Participating in leadership audits and safety meetings to promote a safety-first culture at every level of project execution.
• Proactive managing outstanding receivables by working with customers and the Finance team to ensure timely collection of payments and minimize overdue amounts.
• Contributing to improving cash flow and overall financial health by ensuring collection of advances and payments as per project terms.
• Evaluating and selecting subcontractors for retrofit projects, ensuring they meet the company’s quality, safety, and performance standards.
• Working with subcontractors to ensure they are aligned with project requirements and engineering best practices, encouraging the adoption of new tools and technologies to improve efficiency and project outcomes.
• Building and maintaining positive working relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure smooth collaboration and successful project execution.
• Collaborate closely with the Retrofit Execution team to ensure alignment with strategic objectives and project goals.
  
  

Qualification & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) or equivalent.
• 4-6 years of experience in retrofit project execution, with a focus on customer satisfaction, safety, and financial performance.
• Experience in managing subcontractors, overseeing job sites, and ensuring compliance with project specifications.
