About- A world-class EMI/EMC (Electromagnetic Interference and Compatibility) Test Facility is presently being established at the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, which is funded by the Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council (BIRAC), Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Government of India. The proposed facility would conduct the electromagnetic interference and electrical safety tests required for various electronic devices and medical instruments as per IEC 60601, CISPR 11, and CISPR 16 standards. Location- IIT Kanpur
Eligibility/Qualification–
Minimum Qualification: For Senior Project Engineer M.Tech + 3 years experience or for Senior Project Scientist PhD (Engineering stream) or PhD (Science stream) +2 Years experience
Desirable Experience
- M.Tech in Electrical and Electronics Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with 5 years of relevant experience or PhD in physics with 2 years of relevant experience
- Experience in operating vacuum thin film deposition deposition equipment
- Experience in trouble shooting in ultrahigh vacuum systems related equipment like compressor, cryopumps and Turbo molecular pumps
- Knowledge about thin film deposition processes and characterization technologies
- Strong knowledge about theory and working principles of OLED or solar cells
- Used to working in clean room environment.
- Should be able to individually plan and lead research topics. Prior experience in leading projects would be a plus
- Experience in degradation studies of organic semiconductors and lifetime improvements would be a plus

For the Position of: “Senior Project Engineer/Senior Project Scientist”
Nature Of Work
- Fabrication of OLED devices by thermal evaporation and device characterization
- Development of process SOPs
- Failure analysis (FMEA) of the fabricated device and process improvement
- Design of large area OLED devices
- Extensive documentation and reporting of developed processes and recipes
- Guide and train junior employees
Duration of appointment: 1 Year Contract or till end of Project whichever is earlier
