Java Software Engineer

Role - Java Senior Software Engineer

Experience - 4 - 6 yrs

Location: Remote but 1st week candidate needs to work from Jaipur

Shift: 11 AM - 8 PM

Contract : 6 Months

About the Role

We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer who enjoys solving complex engineering problems and building reliable, scalable software. You'll work on distributed systems that process millions of healthcare provider records while collaborating with product, engineering, and architecture teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

What You'll Do

Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java services using Java 21 and Quarkus.

Build and evolve REST APIs with a strong focus on backward compatibility and API quality.

Develop event-driven services using message broker and distributed system best practices.

Build resilient integrations using retries, circuit breakers, dead-letter queues, and idempotent processing.

Contribute to data quality, observability, monitoring, and production reliability.

Write clean, testable, maintainable code and participate in code reviews.

Use AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, or GitHub Copilot to improve engineering productivity while maintaining code quality.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver features from design through production.

What We're Looking For

Engineering

4–6 years of experience building production-grade Java applications.

Strong knowledge of Java, Spring Boot or Quarkus, REST APIs, and distributed systems.

Experience debugging production issues and improving application reliability.

Solid understanding of testing, clean code, performance optimization, and software design principles.

APIs & Distributed Systems

Experience designing and maintaining REST APIs.

Familiarity with microservices and event-driven architectures.

Hands-on experience with Kafka or similar messaging platforms.

Understanding of API versioning, resilience patterns, and eventual consistency.

Data & Cloud

Experience working with relational or NoSQL databases.

Familiarity with cloud platforms (preferably GCP, AWS, or Azure), Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.

AI-Assisted Engineering

Comfortable using AI coding assistants to improve development velocity while maintaining engineering standards.

Communication

Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional engineering teams.

Nice to Have

Experience with GraphQL or gRPC.

Exposure to GCP services such as Spanner or BigQuery.

Experience with OpenTelemetry, Sentry, or observability tools.

Knowledge of MDM, healthcare, or regulated environments.
