Software Engineer (Web Developer)

We are looking for a highly talented, user-obsessed Frontend Engineer with a deep specialisation in React and Next.js . In this role, you will own the client-side architecture of our core consumer-facing web products, ensuring they are optimised for performance, scalability, and high conversion rates.

You are not just an engineer who translates designs into code; you are a fierce UX advocate who understands how micro-interactions, layout shifts, and page speeds directly impact user trust and conversion maximisation. You will bridge the gap between engineering excellence and beautiful, intuitive user experiences for millions of devotees worldwide.

Responsibilities

• Architect Scalable Web UI: Design, build, and optimise high-performance, conversion-oriented web applications using React and Next.js (App Router, SSR, and SSG).
• Champion UX/UI Excellence: Partner closely with product managers and designers to implement seamless, accessible (A11y/WCAG), and responsive user flows that maximise retention and simplify user onboarding.
• Optimise for Conversions & Traffic: Drive Core Web Vitals optimisation (LCP, INP, CLS) to minimise latency, supercharge SEO, and directly increase B2C transaction conversion rates.
• Data-Driven Iteration: Implement robust A/B testing frameworks and integrate user behaviour analytics tools to continuously refine user journeys.
• Enforce High Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable, and strictly typed TypeScript code. Establish strong frontend testing patterns (using tools like Vitest, Jest, or Testing Library) and maintain scalable CI/CD deployment pipelines.
• Feature Ownership: Implement dynamic listings, fast search capabilities, complex profiling, checkout funnels, push notifications/web messaging, and deep linking strategies.
  
  

Requirements

• Experience: 3+ years of intensive experience specialising in React and Next.js within production-grade environments.
• Tech Stack Mastery: Deep expertise in JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, React Hooks, Context API, and state management libraries (e. g., Redux).
• Performance & Architecture: Strong understanding of Server-Side Rendering (SSR), Static Site Generation (SSG), caching strategies, and bundle size optimisation.
• Data & Integration: Expert knowledge of RESTful APIs and smooth integration of third-party SDKs.
• Product Mindset: Demonstrated experience working with user behaviour analytics (Mixpanel, Google Analytics, etc. ) and executing conversion rate optimisation (CRO) via A/B testing.
• Styling & Tooling: Familiarity with modern responsive styling utilities (Tailwind CSS, styled-components) and UI component systems.
