Procurement Specialist – Direct Material Procurement

About The Role

CAPGRID is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to manage end-to-end procurement of direct materials, ensuring uninterrupted supply, optimal inventory, and cost-efficient sourcing.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end procurement of direct materials to support customer requirements.
• Ensure OTIF (On-Time In-Full) deliveries and maintain inventory as per defined safety stock norms.
• Plan supplier schedules, release purchase orders, and closely monitor material receipts.
• Drive cost optimization initiatives and monitor procurement KPIs, including premium freight and inventory control.
• Track supplier performance through regular reviews and maintain procurement MIS and supplier scorecards.
• Coordinate with Sales, Production, Stores, Logistics, Quality, and Finance to ensure seamless material flow and timely supplier payments.
• Maintain procurement documentation, supplier master data, and ERP records while ensuring process compliance.
  
  

Requirements

• 2–10 years of experience in Direct Material Procurement/Purchasing within Consumer Durables industry.
• B.E./B.Tech. or any relevant Bachelor's degree.
• Strong understanding of procurement planning, supplier management, inventory control.
• Proficient in Excel.
