Person specification.
Experience of Accounting systems, cash books, bookkeeping etc.
Experience of electronic banking applications.
Ability to work within a small team & change priorities at short notice.
Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining accuracy, and having an eye for detail.
Numerate & accurate.
Preferably 2 years Cashiering experience.
Experience
Ability to process outward payments using Accounting systems with interfaces to electronic banking applications. Payments will be processed in various global currencies.
Knowledge and understanding of various banking payment methods , i.e. CHAPS/FP/SWIFT. Knowledge of features of each & how they operate.
Perform bank reconciliations using bank statements/accounting systems, and have confidence to discuss items with colleagues/banks, escalating timing differences as appropriate.
Post receipts from bank statement to ledger system maintaining accuracy with large volumes.
Assist colleagues from different backgrounds with a wide range of queries.
Engage with bank colleagues confidently to resolve queries.
Confident in using Electronic Banking systems to export files to other applications. Ability to navigate electronic banking systems to locate entries to resolve queries.
Ability to master the complexity of using multiple bank accounts linked to different Accounting systems.
What The Day Will Look Like
Using the banks electronic banking system to identify transactions, inputting them to various Aon Accounting systems, ensuring they are correctly posted.
Using Accounting systems to release outward payments to Aon Treasury, for onward processing by Aon’s bankers.
Managing your time throughout the day to ensure various Bank/accounting deadlines/cut off times are met to ensure the business operates efficiently.
Engaging with various teams, in India, UK & Poland to plan & ensure daily transactions are processed on time.
Working within a small team of 5 responsible for processing Fiduciary payments, receipts and bank reconciliations for an FCA regulated Broker.
