Lab Technician
Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Lab Technician with a Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT). The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience operating both fully automatic and semi-automatic lab analyzers and handling routine diagnostic testing with precision and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
Machine Operation: Hands-on operation and routine maintenance of fully automatic and semi-automatic Biochemistry, Hematology, and Immunoassay analyzers.
Sample Processing: Collect, receive, centrifuge, and process blood, urine, and body fluid specimens strictly following safety protocols.
Testing & Diagnostics: Perform routine blood tests (CBC, LFT, KFT, Lipid Profile, Thyroid, Lipid, Sugar, etc.).
Quality Control & Calibration: Maintain accuracy in test results through proper daily calibration, control running, and maintenance log keeping.
Report Generation: Record accurate test readings and input data into the Laboratory Information System (LIS) for pathologist review.
Lab Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness, safety hygiene, and proper biohazard waste disposal in accordance with lab standards.
Requirements & Qualifications
Qualification: DMLT (Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology) or BMLT.
Experience: Minimum 6 months to 2 years of practical lab experience.
Technical Skills: Sound knowledge of handling fully automatic and semi-automatic equipment.
Good understanding of sample collection techniques (venipuncture) and laboratory software.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
