AI Product Manager
The Role
The AI PM role at Headout sits at the intersection of product thinking and hands-on building. Headout connects millions of travellers to the world's most unforgettable experiences, and this role exists to shape and ship the internal tools and systems that determine how fast we move, how well we operate, and how much our teams can accomplish.
You’ll frame problems with strong product judgment, build and iterate solutions end-to-end, and move with the speed and ownership of a founder. Internally, we think of this as a Full Stack Builder role: someone who can take a problem from ambiguity to a working solution without waiting for perfect inputs or handoffs.
You’ll work directly with the founders' office on high-impact problems, with access to cutting-edge AI tooling, operating at a pace that reflects our global ambitions.
This role is based in Bengaluru. We're looking for candidates who are local or open to relocating.
What Makes This Role Special?
- Business impact. Internal tools that directly impact how teams work, improve speed and efficiency of processes, and unlock step-function gains through AI-led automations and systems.
- End-to-end builder ownership. You get to wear multiple hats and execute problem statements with high agency. You won’t just define solutions, you’ll prototype, build, and iterate on them yourself.
- Hands-on AI product work. Work with the latest AI tooling available. From LLMs and APIs to agentic workflows, you’ll plan, prototype, experiment, and refine systems that are AI-native from the ground up.
- Direct access to decision-makers. Tight loop with the founders’ office, product and engineering enables rapid decisions and fast iteration.
- Rapid skills compounding. Work across teams and problem spaces, building both product judgment and hands-on technical capability at speed.
- Clear growth runway. Demonstrate impact and the scope of work, ownership, and complexity of problems you solve will expand rapidly.
What Skills & Experience You Need?
- 2–4 years of experience in product or adjacent builder roles with shipped internal tools. Experience owning and delivering tools, automations, or systems that are actively used by teams.
- UX judgment and ability to produce wireframes/flows without a designer. Comfortable thinking through user journeys and translating them into simple, functional interfaces or prototypes.
- Hands-on proficiency with AI-powered building. Working knowledge of LLMs, APIs, and modern AI tools, including prompting, iteration, basic evals, and guardrails. Ability to use these to build real workflows or internal products.
- High agency and ownership; bias to action and measurable outcomes. Ability to operate independently and drive problems from ambiguity to shipped solutions.
- Data literacy. Define success through clear metrics (NSMs, leading indicators), instrument what you build, and iterate based on real signals.
- Program management discipline. Strong prioritization, planning, stakeholder management, and ability to handle dependencies across teams.
- Fast learning velocity. Comfortable picking up new tools, frameworks, or technologies within days and applying them to real problems.
- Experience working with no-code/low-code tools and building UX prototypes. Ability to move quickly from idea to working solution using the right set of tools (e.g. workflow automation platforms like n8n/Zapier, AI tools like Claude, Replit, or similar), with a focus on shipping functional, reliable systems used by real teams.
Bonus
- Familiarity with basic system design, data structures, or engineering fundamentals
- Experience operating in high-pace, growth-stage environments
- Exposure to internal tooling, ops-tech, or automation-heavy roles
