About the Role
We are looking for a Law Enforcement & Liaisoning professional to manage law enforcement matters, union-related issues, and critical operational escalations across an assigned zone.
The role will serve as a key interface between Rapido and police authorities, law enforcement agencies, unions, local authorities, and other external stakeholders, ensuring timely resolution of incidents and minimizing disruption to business operations. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, field-oriented environment and be able to handle sensitive situations, negotiations, and crisis escalations with maturity and sound judgment.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with local police, law enforcement agencies, unions, and other government authorities to support smooth business operations.
- Manage and resolve law enforcement matters involving accidents, police investigations, union disputes, protests, harassment, public-order issues, and other operational incidents.
- Act as Rapido’s primary point of contact for law enforcement and external stakeholders during critical incidents and escalations.
- Represent Rapido in discussions, negotiations, complaints, and proceedings involving police authorities, unions, and other relevant agencies.
- Provide timely guidance and on-ground support to operations teams, field officers, and business leaders dealing with legal or law enforcement challenges.
- Coordinate with Legal, Operations, Corporate Affairs, and other internal teams to develop appropriate strategies for resolving disputes and mitigating operational risks.
- Manage complaints and cases related to union interference, unlawful disruptions, threats, public disturbances, and other issues impacting Rapido’s operations.
- Support incident management by coordinating with police and other authorities in cases involving captains, customers, employees, accidents, or safety-related incidents.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of complaints, cases, police interactions, incidents, and resolutions.
- Identify emerging law enforcement and union-related risks and proactively work with senior stakeholders to develop preventive measures.
- Conduct training and awareness sessions for field teams on law enforcement protocols, incident handling, legal compliance, and preventive measures.
- Support compliance related to parking, permits, promotional activities, and other operational requirements involving local authorities.
- Take ownership of critical escalations and crisis situations, ensuring swift resolution and minimal impact on business continuity.
What We’re Looking For
- Relevant experience in law enforcement liaisoning, government relations, legal operations, union management, or handling operational disputes.
- Prior experience working with police departments, government authorities, unions, or other enforcement agencies is strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of local laws, labour/union regulations, law enforcement procedures, and government processes.
- Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions while handling high-pressure or crisis situations.
- Strong capability in managing multiple incidents and escalations simultaneously in a field-oriented, fast-paced environment.
- Good understanding of legal documentation, case management, and coordination with external authorities.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of sensitive and time-critical matters.
- Experience in mobility, transportation, logistics, e-commerce, or other high-volume operations would be an advantage.
