Role Description

Purpose of the job:

To control the plant from control room. Visit field in case of problem and concern and rectify the same & managing shifts.

Overall Job Responsibility

To Ensure Safe operation in the Department by Identification & removal of unsafe act / unsafe condition/Near Miss.

To ensure process quality and quantity in shift/general and for the analysis of any process deviations

To be responsible for the operating of equipment within its control range as specified by the supplier

To be responsible for the shutdown and breakdown management which includes giving and taking of the clearance and restoring the equipment and surrounding back to normal operating condition.

To operate the plant by adhering to the norms as per the action standards and guidelines

Skills

Experience in Blast Furnace Operations.

Knowledge about Blast furnace safe shutdown and start-up procedure.

Knowledge about Blast furnace charging system.

Knowledge about Blast furnace burden calculation

Knowledge about Hot Blast stove operation

Knowledge about Pig Casting machine operation and safety.

Knowledge about Blast furnace cast house practices.

Knowledge on all kinds of interlocks and alarms of Blast furnace

Other Details

Full-time Diploma in (Metallurgy) or Mechanical from a recognized board/university/institute.
