Role Description The Senior Android Developer role at JobBricks is a full-time, on-site position based in Ahmedabad. The person in this role will design, develop, and maintain high-quality Android applications, ensuring robust performance, usability, and scalability. Daily responsibilities include collaborating with product managers and designers to translate requirements into technical solutions, implementing modern Android UI/UX design patterns, and integrating APIs and third-party services. The Senior Android Developer will review code, mentor other developers, optimize application performance, and ensure adherence to best practices in software development and mobile security. This role also involves troubleshooting issues, participating in code and architecture discussions, and contributing to continuous improvement of the mobile development lifecycle.
Qualifications

• Strong experience in Mobile Application Development and building production-grade Mobile Applications.
• Advanced Android Development skills, including Android Design principles and modern Android frameworks (e.g., Jetpack, Kotlin/Java).
• Solid Software Development foundation, including object-oriented programming, design patterns, and version control (e.g., Git).
• Experience with RESTful APIs, JSON, and integration of backend services into Android apps.
• Ability to write clean, testable, and maintainable code; familiarity with unit testing and automated testing frameworks.
• Experience with performance optimization, app security best practices, and handling multiple device configurations.
• Effective communication, collaboration, and mentoring skills, with the ability to work in cross-functional teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Prior experience in a senior or lead Android development role is highly beneficial.
