Rigging Expert

Purpose of the Position: To prepare & carry out lifting & rigging related intervention among site personnel & conduct awareness programs to sustain an accident-free site related to lifting & rigging.

He is responsible for successfully implementing Lifting and rigging procedure with a support and coordination of High risk Focus team (Lifting and Rigging)

Review and approve lift plan, Method statement and HIRA

Provide necessary support to prepare lifting operations SOP

Review and random clearance for lifting permit and lift plans by daily basis

Monitoring the critical lifts for safe execution

Deliver / witness tool box talk at project sites

Necessary review and support for basic, intermediate & critical lifting activities

Inspection of lifting equipment and lifting accessories as per monthly activity plan

Review and ensure maintaining of lifting equipment register

Monitor adherence to schedule for inspection of lifting equipment and lifting accessories

Implement colour coding system/Fitness sticker for lifting equipment and tools and tackles

Prepare training materials (Site based) if required

Impart training for lifting team. i.e., slinger, signaler, lifting supervisor, crane operator)

Impart class room & Practical training for lifting team

Participate in High risk Focus meeting and raise high severity points related to Lifting and rigging which observed during the week.

Provide inputs to management on strengthening the system to manage lifting and rigging activities.

To prepare and submit weekly/Monthly MIS to Project Safety manager
