Job Overview:
Example: CGI is looking for a talented and motivated Java Backend with strong expertise in Java, Springboot , Microservices,Rest API and Kafka to build and manage scalable, efficient, and reliable data pipelines and infrastructure. You’ll play a key role in transforming raw data into actionable insights, working closely with data scientists, analysts, and business teams.
Your future duties and responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
Develop and consume RESTful APIs and Microservices.
Design and implement event-driven architectures using Apache Kafka.
Develop Kafka producers, consumers, and message-processing applications.
Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
Integrate backend services with databases, third-party systems, and messaging platforms.
Write clean, maintainable, and reusable code following best practices.
Perform unit testing, code reviews, debugging, and performance tuning.
Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, QA, and DevOps teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and estimation.
Troubleshoot production issues and implement effective resolutions
Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role
6–8 years of experience in Java backend development.
Strong proficiency in Java 8/11/17.
Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, and Spring Security.
Strong experience in Microservices architecture.
Extensive experience with Apache Kafka, including producers, consumers, topics, partitions, and consumer groups.
Experience in designing event-driven and asynchronous applications.
Strong knowledge of RESTful Web Services.
Experience with SQL databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or Cassandra is an advantage.
Knowledge of Hibernate/JPA.
Familiarity with Maven or Gradle.
Experience with Git and version control systems.
Strong understanding of multithreading, concurrency, and Java Collections Framework.
Experience in writing unit and integration tests using JUnit and Mockito.
