IT Network Engineer – L1 (offroll)

Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated IT Network Engineer (L1) to support our industrial network infrastructure. The candidate will assist in maintaining firewalls, monitoring network components, and ensuring basic operational continuity in IT environments.

This role requires travelling to the OT plants for network activities once in 15 days.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the monitoring and maintenance of IT networks including switches, routers, and firewalls.
• Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, SD-WAN, load balancers, VPN, QoS)
• Assist with network configuration changes, firmware upgrades, and patch management.
• Monitor firewall logs and raise alerts for anomalies and raising support tickets.
• Working on physical layer such as network Cabling, crimping, I/O punching.
• Support documentation of network diagrams and changes.
  
  

Key Skills & Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in network operations or engineering
• Familiarity with firewall technologies (FortiGate, Palo Alto, or equivalent).
• Good understanding of IP networking (VLANs, subnetting, routing basics).
• Deep understanding of networking protocols. Solid understanding of the OSI or TCP/IP mode
• Firewall Knowledge (SOPHOS, Fortigate, Palo Alto, etc), Switches & AP (Cisco, Netgear, Aruba, Juniper),Routing and switching experience CCNA or CCNP
• Troubleshoot network issues related to routing, switching, and load balancing.
• Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic and network analytics tool.
