Zu Technologies (Professor Curious) is hiring a Creative Ad Scriptwriter (also known as Ad Scriptwriter, Short-Form Video Scriptwriter, Reels Scriptwriter, UGC Scriptwriter, Performance Creative Writer, Video Ad Copywriter).

About the role

You will write short-form video ad scripts for Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts that feel native to organic social, not like traditional ads. You will sit with our AI video team, where humans handle the scripting and quality checks that AI models cannot yet do reliably.

What you will do

• Write ad scripts for Reels and YouTube Shorts that feel native to organic social

• Work with the AI video team to turn scripts into finished ad creatives

• Run quality checks on AI-generated videos and catch what the models get wrong

• Turn creative angles and competitor insights into scripts brands can test

• Deliver fast: video turnaround is 24 hours and edits take 2 hours

What we are looking for

• 1-5 years of experience writing short-form video scripts for Reels, YouTube Shorts or similar

• A strong sense of what feels native to organic social

• Strong hooks, storytelling and copywriting for performance creatives

• Comfort working with AI video tools and giving sharp quality feedback

• Sample scripts or a portfolio of your work
