Branch Manager MBL, Ahmedabad

Job Purpose

The Branch Manager will be responsible for driving business growth, managing branch operations, leading the sales team, ensuring portfolio quality, and delivering exceptional customer service for the Micro Business Loans business.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development

• Drive branch business by sourcing Micro Business Loan customers.
• Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual business targets.
• Increase branch profitability through new customer acquisition.
• Develop and execute local market strategies to generate quality leads.
  
  

Team Management

• Lead, mentor, and motivate the branch sales team.
• Monitor individual and team performance against targets.
• Conduct regular training and performance reviews.
• Ensure productivity and discipline within the team.
  
  

Customer Relationship Management

• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, DSAs, connectors, and local business communities.
• Ensure high customer satisfaction and timely query resolution.
• Drive repeat business and customer referrals.
  
  

Credit & Portfolio Management

• Ensure sourcing of quality business while maintaining portfolio health.
• Monitor delinquency and overdue accounts.
• Coordinate with credit, operations, and collections teams for smooth loan processing.
• Maintain acceptable portfolio quality and minimize NPAs.
  
  

Branch Operations

• Oversee day-to-day branch operations.
• Ensure adherence to internal policies, RBI guidelines, and compliance requirements.
• Maintain audit readiness and operational excellence.
• Ensure proper documentation and process compliance.
  
  

Stakeholder Management

• Coordinate with Credit, Operations, Risk, Legal, and Collection teams.
• Support smooth loan disbursement and customer onboarding.
  
  

Eligibility

Education

• Graduate in any discipline (MBA preferred).
  
  

Experience

• 6–10 years of experience in Banking, NBFC, or Financial Services.
• Minimum 2–3 years of team handling experience.
• Experience in Micro Business Loans (MBL), Business Loans, MSME Loans, LAP, or SME Lending is preferred.
